Downloading torrents on a computer is usually a cakewalk. There are plenty of applications to choose from when it comes to doing it on your PC.
However, when it comes to Android, the options are scarce. One of my friends came to me the other day with this problem. He recently bought an Android tablet and all he wanted was video telephony and a decent screen to watch some videos and movies.
However, as he didnât own a computer, it was getting very difficult for him to arrange the media files. And for the same reason he was looking for an app using which could download torrents on his Android tablet with minimal effort.
We have reviewed uTorrent app for Android in the past, but one should always have options to choose from.
Keeping that in mind, today we are going to have a look at Vuze torrent downloader for Android, using which you can directly download torrent files on your droid tablets and smartphones.
Vuze for Android
So letâs get started by downloading the app (link above). The best thing about the app is that you can directly search for torrent files within the app. Just tap on the search option in the menu bar and enter some of the relevant keywords related to your search.
For example, if you are trying to download Linux Ubuntu latest version, the search keyword should be Ubuntu or Ubuntu ISO.
The app will open the browser with the search string and display all the information regarding the related torrents. You can then add the torrents to the app. https://uatree514.weebly.com/blog/movie-box-apk-download-for-android-latest-official-version.
To add a torrent directly from a link, first copy the link to the clipboard. Then open the Vuze torrent client and tap on the Add icon from the menu bar and paste the link from the clipboard.
Youâd now need to add the downloaded torrent files. Just browse for the file on your SD card and import it to the Vuze client.
Note: If you use private tracker torrents to download stuff where your download and upload is tracked, ensure that Vuze for Android is compatible with that tracker.
Once you load the torrents, it will automatically start downloading to your device. You can use the tabs at the top to view all torrents or just the ones which are downloading at the moment or finished downloading.
When you tap on any of the torrents in the list, you can pause/resume the download or delete it completely. For a finished download you will get Open prompt, which will open the file location on the SD card of your device.
In the app settings you can set the download and upload limit globally for each torrent. You can also configure the app to use only the Wi-Fi connection for downloading and auto-start the app whenever you reboot the Android device.
Last but not the least, you can play a notification sound each time a torrent completes downloading.
Conclusion
So that was how you can download torrents directly on your Android device using Vuze. Sure the app doesnât have advanced functionalities like downloading schedule and individual upload and download speed setup, but for someone who has to download torrents on his Android device on a regular basis and doesnât need to tinker with the settings, itâs a good app to go for.

There are a lot of good things about a good puzzle. Apart from keeping you engaged and entertained, it also works on your brain and pushes it to perform better. So, while playing a puzzle game on say a phone or a tablet is hardly healthy physically, it does make you more fit mentally. Makes you more focused too which we all need direly in this age of incessant distractions.
We will be taking up five cool puzzle games for Android today. As the title indicated, the collection includes both free and paid options. Hopefully these will tickle some of those non-performing parts of your brain out of their slumber.
Cool Tip: We have previously covered 5 awesome racing games for Android and some cool iOSgames. Do check them out.
World of Goo
World of Goo is a paid puzzle game based on the concept of physics and architectural construction. The idea behind the game is to create strong structures using the goo balls and then collect them at the destination point with the maximum number of goo balls to spare. The game was launched for Windows and other platforms initially where it received outstanding reviews before it was made available for Android.
Just like any other puzzle game, World of Goo starts with easy levels but the tasks and structural designs begin to complicate after every level. Even being in 2D, the graphics of the game are awesome. The game is recommended only for large screen devices (4 inches or above) though.
If you have an Android tablet, you are in here for a treat. The app comes at a small price but you can download the demo version for free and try it out before buying it. The only thing that might annoy some of the players is the irritating sound of the goo balls.
Bad Piggies
Bad Piggiesis another addictive game from Rovio, the makers of one of the most famous games known to mankind â Angry Birds. While Angry Birds was just dedicated to projectile, Bad Piggies is dedicated to construction, speed, momentum, inertia and other such concepts of physics.
You can think of the game as the sequel to Angry Birds where you play as pigs and take revenge on the birds. You will have to make the perfect kart for the puzzle which can roll, crawl, fly, spin and crash to safely reach the eggs. And all this because, a pig canât just fly like a bird. Tablet users can download the HD version.
Slice It!
What do you feel about geometry? Do you think itâs boring? Well if you do, itâs time you have a look at Slice It! for Android. This puzzle game is based upon geometry and you will have to split a given shape into as many slices as required in the level. Symmetry is the basic concept of the game.
The initial levels might look like a cakewalk, but as you proceed in the game you might come across levels which you just want to skip. At the end of the day, donât be surprise to see a growing interest in geometry.
Burn the Rope
The concept of Burn the Rope is very simple. You need to burn as much as rope as you can to complete the level. The only catch is that the flames follow the laws of physics. Just like in real life, the flame in the game only proceeds when the itâs burning upwards. The game uses your phoneâs sensor to keep the flame going.
Burning different color bugs in the game gives a different color to the flame and as the flames are color locked, they are used to ignite the colored ropes in the level. As you have to frequently turn and tilt your device, tablet users might not experience the smoothness.
Mouse
The most simple, yet challenging game you might ever come across is Mouse for Android. The concept of the game is very simple. You need to make way for a mouse to reach itâs hole by sliding various blocks in the limited space thatâs provided.
The game has as many as many as 4000 different levels for you to complete. There might be many levels you might get stuck on, but remember that patience is the best virtue (especially when it comes to puzzle games).
Conclusion
So these were the top 5 free and paid puzzle games for Android. World of Goo and Mouse are the two games I recommend you start playing first. Also donât forget to share your favorites if they werenât in the list above. Just remember that you shouldnât give up easily on any level. These are âpuzzleâ games after all.
